Whatever he chose to do in later life is his business but in no way diminishes what he achieved, what he endured and the thousands he inspired and is still inspiring.

Re: Whatever Happened to Robin Lee Graham ?
People asked earlier in this thread for scans of the NG articles. You can get the complete set of NG on DVD. The three articles in NG appeared in Oct '68, April '69 and Oct '70. There was also a follow up column on him in the Oct '88 magazine.

Last I heard, he lived near Kalispell, MT, by Glacier NP. I met him there at Lula's Cafe years ago. Great guy!

Re: Whatever Happened to Robin Lee Graham ?
We were in the cockpit tonight having sundowners with some friends and i was ask what was the movie that i most remember, and after some thought and dismissing all the clint eastwood films and being serious i said it was The Dove with Robin Lee Graham. It took 2 weeks to convince my parents to take me to drive-in to see the movie much to the discust of my brother and sister who wasnt the slightest bit interested in some kid who wanted to sail around the world. But from that moment on thats what i wanted to do. For young wanabee sailors google The Dove movie it will give you great inspiration

Re: Whatever Happened to Robin Lee Graham ?
my friend has the sistership to Dove 1 and will sell her cheap,he paid $5k for the monster trailer and would probably sell the boat and trailer for $5k, the boat has been taken apart for paint but a cool boat. She is in Reno. I have no interest. Stephen

Hello,
I am said friend. It is true. I picked up the book dove after buying the boat on e-bay and read it on board in while prepping to take her south. I was side tracked by work and my now wife. The boat has been sitting in the garage for about 5 years now.
She is the Lapworth 24 cruising model (not the gladiator) and I beleive she is hull number 9 (Robins was hull number 6). Let me know if you have any interest in her.
Keith
