Never say "After all these years it's so cool to be leaving the dock with EVERYTHING on the boat working."

Store the "Arthritis Hot Rub" next to the "Preparation H."

Don't hoist the jolley roger while running the generator with a cigarette in your mouth while talking about guns onboard.

After reading this I checked out your profile. I noticed that you had not aquired any friends. Are you trying to keep it that way?

Never back up while taking video of friends swiming off the bow without checking if the hatches are open. It's a pride before the fall thingy I think. All I know is that it was embarassing as hell.

Re: What Should You NOT Do on a Boat ?

Nostrodamus, Let me apologise for the USA getting into world exploration a bit late.... but ....you did have a thousand years or so head start. For such a well traveled mariner I was disapointed to see such a post. "20 miles" surely you know better than that. Remember that anyone in our society can do this ... even a goat herder.

Never make a "Brag" about anything... Because when you do.... Murphy's Law goes into effect.

And as Zeehag stated: Don't piss off the owner, especially when the boat is in the middle of the Ocean. You might end up walking home...

Never build a campfire to roast marshmellows or make smores, save that for the beach!

Don't mix up the chart showing depth in fathoms with the chart showing depth in feet.
