Years ago I wanted a radar that would put on the brakes if you got too close to the vehicle in front of you, at specified speeds, but that's already done along with the back up one. And the auto park'r too.

And a car door system that will keep the damn door open on a hill so I can get out w/o crushing my leg/body. Get'n old.
This has been done at DARPA...DVC

Welcome to CF, and RO is sure energy intensive. How much electricity do you use in a day for how many inhabitants?

Utilities Engineer in for a big corp for now but it is getting a little stale. Hopefully self employed in a few years in the Northeast but not sure at what. Any ideas that will give me income and some time to sail?

My Honda Accord has this as well. I'm sure the system can be adapted to any car, but is hard to implement without involving the manufacturer, IMO.

BTW, I work as an IT Consultant. Running my tiny IT company.

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?

Think if those options are needed probably shouldn't be driving anyways. I call it the "drunk and impaired" option. Unless handicapped, elderly or a frequent drunk driver I would never opt in for the options. Should give higher level of acceptable blood alcohol if you have these options. They even have break for you, just incase you passed out.
