Weirdest sailing movie/scene ever?!

This is not just for movie buffs but all Sailors out there! So, what's the weirdest sailing movie/scene you have ever watched?

Spend 40 minutes of your life to watch the 1st episode of the 2nd season of Lost in Space, titled "Shipwrecked"! (https://trakt.tv/shows/lost-in-space...s/2/episodes/1)

I challenge you to find something with more weird sailing than this one! Good luck trying!

And yet it's more believable than "All is Lost"

Re: Weirdest sailing movie/scene ever?!

What is that movie where Nicole Kidman is one moment on deck and a second later has somehow leapt to the crosstrees and is surveilling the ocean from her perch?

I do remember my racing friends laughing about that, years ago.

And don't knock "All is Lost" too badly, Lodesman, as far-fetched as some of the plot points and Robert Redford's decisions might have been, the one thing that movie does show is how it's the cascade of decisions - and their effects - that deliver one into dire circumstances where loss of boat and/or loss of life can result.

When I saw it, I remember turning to my Salty friend who I'd seen the movie with and said, "a primer on what *not* to do..." (partly in jest and partly seriously).

My all-time fav, though, HAS to be Captain Ron. Far-fetched and ridculous in the extreme and I contunue to love every outrageous minute of it!

Best wishes All,

That would be the ice sailing scene from Barbarella.

Styx.

Really a movie about refugees, staged on a sailboat.

This is from the promos - haven't seen it.

I think the gargantuan octopus thingy with rows and rows of teeth coming up the side of the ship to inhale Jack Sparrow is kinda different. Of course, all the crazy possibilities in those movies are what make them so fun.

Robert Redford on the radio in all is lost.

The only dialogue in the movie and they got it wrong.

I clicked the link and they want to put THEIR cookies in MY computer. Since I am polite I will only say that the amount of profanity I have to say about cookies would make a sailor blush.
