We Made it ! Thanks for Your Help

We made it from Key West to Newport RI in 45 days of cruising on our first boat and our first real trip.
Thank you guys for all the great help and advise you gave us. Could not have done it without you.
Now we will spend the summer cruising around Cape Cod and the Islands.

PS we only hit one channel marker and ran aground a mere 34 times, at least the bottom is scraped clean.

In only 45 days.
Was this non-stop or did you slip up the Intercoastal river thingy you folks have?

Don't worry about channel markers they are normally in the wrong place anyway (either that or my chartplotter is wrong). And a good clean keel makes you go faster

Can you tell us wheich way you went and what you draw because we are going up that way in the next few years

Congratulations on surviving what seems to have been a lively trip. And a steep learning curve successfully climbed with no parts left behind. Sounds like a good choice of boat, you got that part right as there is nothing better than a boat that looks after you, in spite of your best efforts. Things - can only get better.
Writing a report of your trip will help you to review 'incidents' and provide a basis for you in the future. Publishing it here may generate some useful, and other, comments too.
Well Done.

Well done!

We'll be watching for you! Great cruising grounds and summer will be fun.
