WD-40 and it's various uses

By far the best product I've found is called Corrosion X , made by a company in Dallas TX. I happened upon it a few years ago. WD40 works good for light short term purposes but it disappears almost immediately. If you put a little Corrosion X on your fingertips and rub.... it just wont go away! WD disappers pretty fast. It's a little hard to find but if you see the Red and White can..... buy it immediately! We originally used it for GOv't boats to coat the non stainless or brass fittings on the diesel engines before shipment.

I like WD-40 for freeing up tools that are starting to stick.....that's about it. There are other spray on liquids that work better for displacing moisture.

Practical Sailor Tests Spray-On Protection for Electronics and Electrical Systems I saw this in practical sailor and I've used it. It's great stuff, much better than wd40 and doesn't leave a sticky film like boeshield. But I'm not sure if it's still being sold as the company website has a "bad name" now. Ah well, another great product gone.

Clearly someone who is used to being in the dark . My bet is that long ago he discovered that drinking WD-40 was not forbidden in his DIY book. Would explain a lot

Yes, I see what you mean about his being in the dark. I'm not so sure about drinking WD-40, however. Sure it smells great, but drink it?

Still, alcoholics have been known to guzzle mouthwash, so you could be on to something, DOJ.

Interestingly, when the man's own father lost his job back in 1992, he moved to Houston, and one of his first stops was the local hardware store, as well. While there, he purchased coffee filters and a stepladder.

I just know there's a connection, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Step ladder? Probably so he could be nearer to God Coffee Filters? Maybe he also intended sharing a coffee whilst talking about idiot sons who can't keep outta trouble
