Last I heard the Red Cross is estimating about 1,200 people are dead but some areas have not been reached.

The death tool now is over 10,000 - so many dead. Such a terrible loss.

Very ugly. At least Haiyan appears to be losing much of its power as it approaches Vietnam and China.
