Tragedy in Glandore Bay

Just had a message from my sister who lives in Glandore, Eire, that their community lost 5 fishermen when their boat was lost entering Glandore Bay during bad weather.
Please spare a thought for the lost crew and their families.

Re: Tragedy in Glandore Bay

Thanks for this. My father's ancestors are from Clonakilty and from the looks of that harbour, nearby Glandore would be a better place to leave the boat if I want to explore the area.

I would guess there was a hell of a south east wind to get into that bay.
