Took My 1 1/2 Year Old Daughter Out Today on the Dinghy
Her first sailing trip was at maybe a month, offshore at three months, and now I've got her in the dinghy. At what age should I spraypaint sponsor logos on, give her some sandwiches, and have her break the circumnavigation record?

Circumnavigation at one and a half??? Let's just say that boat has sailed for your old girl.
If they aren't packed and off and out by 3 weeks old, it just isn't going to cut it in today's world.

I was worried that if I started her too soon she might run into a container ship.

I say the container ships should just have to look out for themselves. I mean, what's the worth of a couple of container ships compared to the value of a world record?

I dunno about the RTW solo trip - I think it would be prudent to wait until she is at least 4 .
But never too early to add a "donate now" button on her Website

Guys, guys - you don't have to send her around the world to get a record... Couldn't you just get those stickers and send her solo around the bay? Asn soon as she can hold a course and turn the tiller the right way... off you go!
