Tony Bullimore Dies at 79.

Tony Bullimore: British sailor who survived four days under a capsized yacht in the Southern Ocean dies aged 79 - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

I'll never forget his SO rescue, 4 days inside a capsized boat in freezing water very very far from anywhere.

Re: Tony Bullimore Dies at 79.

I was partially involved in his rescue (as were perhaps another 400 people or so) - my part was keeping up the supply of electronic repair parts for the search aircraft, so about as tenuous of a link to the rescue as possible.....

Tony, being the true gentleman he was did not care, he hired the Adelaide town hall and invited all the involved personnel for dinner on him. Didn’t see him eat, but he did work the room until he had shaken the hands of every single person and given his personal thank you.

RIP Tony, fair winds and smooth sailing.
