Way back when we started out, first was
water, then fresh produce! After that as Ann said ICE CREAM!! I thought we were the only ones left that knew about haveing a shoreside spoon with ya at all times LOL! These days with a
water maker that works well, a genny and a BIG
freezer, we have the ice cream and the water but fresh produce is still way up on the list ! as we don't really drink,
beer is something we don't use! But let me tell ya Taro, and even bread fruit look good after 15-20 days at sea !And again without a
water maker a hot
shower is heaven! And with
kids, other
kids for them to meet and play with are a big plus!! Heck I remember when a fresh green coconut was a treat !! And if theres meat to buy we though we were in heaven !! No matter how much ya catch and like
fish ! It gets old after a while !a tough ole piece of pork looks good to to a fella on a
fish diet!! For you guys I would think your list is pretty good except for
fuel, we used a lot less then I thought we would, I could have made smaller fuel
tanks and bigger water
tanks if I had really sailed more when we left! You guy's are gonna love the trades! wish we could do it one more time! But looks like we will stick to the Carribe! Sure look forward to your reports when ya leave !!
