Is a mountain climber a scalar or a scaler?

Here you are
https://upjoke.com/cosine-jokes
Now you guys get a room, preferably near a brothel where you can apply those tangents to some irregular curves

As far as I can tell, given the size of the original image, it is a tangent.

Sorry, I just don't understand what low glycaemic index has to do with the off topic discussion about tangents

If he's in the high cloud-clear mountains then he could become a tan gent.

It depends upon whether he’s lost his direction

Neither. He’s stuck pondering the fact that his rope makes a perfect tangent line across the perfectly spherical bolder above him.

Bonus Question: What is the force imparted on the bolder by the tangent rope?

Actually it most likely will and is very relevant to todays liberal thinking due to 'Mrs Penis with boobs' showing up at minute 1:13! A trans-gendered, non-binary penis !?!?!

It’s so trivially semantic that I’m almost afraid to explain it after all that drama. It stems from the strict linguistic use of the expression “tan line”, which, I would argue, is the line produced by a tan function, whereas what was drawn was a tangent.

Like I said, trivial semantics. I didn’t think I’d start the total geek-storm that followed.

At a point in time they could be both.

Actually - I thought it was because they got off on a tangent

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Re: The New Joke Thread

tan stand usually for the tangens function, a trigonometric function tan(x) =sin(x) / cos(x), but it is not funny.

I am impressed of all the people here actually knowing math and feeling upset enough to discuss it on a sailing jokes forum. A lot of MENSA people around... [emoji12]

So can two tan lines about the same complex curve ever be horizontal?
