I can usually see them just fine. Once in a while I can't but I find that if I log in, I can always see them. Strangely, even when I don't log in, if I can't see them often they will show up if I wait a while.

It is quite an interesting problem you descripe. Do you have a VPN and if so, does it help if you select a different location?

They are apparently geo-fencing.

I've just tried a few different anonymising proxy servers with one of his glamisdumes.com image URLs, I can see it when proxing through some countries but not others.

e.g. At https://hide.me/en/proxy their Netherlands proxy show the image, their German and Finnish proxies don't.

If everyone was having the same problem, then I would concede the problem is at my end. I've asked repeatedly for suggestions on what to do. Nothing constructive yet.

However, it seems that most people can see them with no problems. That tells me two things:

1. You are not the center of the universe.

2. The problem is most likely at your end.

Let's look at this realistically. If I stop posting altogether, that's going to be a good portion of the jokes suddenly missing.

Let's take a vote: How many people want me to stop posting jokes?


Here's my proposal: How about YOU spend some time posting jokes, instead of whinging?

How many people want StuM to start posting funny jokes?

I vote for funny jokes!

I think the gd.com server is slow, I live within a few miles of the server's location and it sometimes takes 2 or 3 seconds to get a response from it. They've "upgraded" it about 3 times over the yrs, but I think it was more like replacing a 12 yr old computer with a 6 yr old computer.
