True story. I was on vacation with my now ex in North Conway. I had kind of non stop food poisoning trots. I really wanted Imodium so I could sleep. It was about 8:30 in the evening. My now ex would not go get it for me.

I timed it so I thought I could make it to the store and back. A very short drive.

I left the lot, drove the hundred yards to the traffic light. In my haste I didn’t signal, overshot the left, did a half u turn and a right to go left. Another 100 yards and I was in the grocery store lot. I pulled in only to realize the store was now a video rental store.

I got in gear, ready to head back to the hotel and looked in my rear view mirror to see the blue flashers. A very professional woman New Hampshire state trooper came and asked for my license and registration. As I gave them to her I explained that I knew why she had pulled me over, and explained my predicament.

She went back to her car for about 30 seconds and came back with my papers.

Desperately trying to keep a straight face she said “I absolutely believe you sir and good luck!”

I made it back just in time. Never got that Imodium.
