I really don't get the whole statue thing....or having a street named after you...or a stadium, etc, etc, I don't think most people do...most people drive or walk by statues, streets, stadiums, etc and don't give the thing a moment's notice..ie, they couldn't care less

I think the finished dimension is due to the saw blade kerf. I don't believe I've bought dimensioned lumber that was planed or sanded.
