Re: The New Joke Thread

What is the difference between a BDSM marriage and a regular marriage?

In the BDSM relationship there is a safe word that can immediately stop the torture.

Sonofagun!

I've lived in Key West and Honolulu and for some reason, I thought Oahu was roughly about the same latitude as San Francisco!

I've discovered the safe word that ends the torture of a regular marriage.

It starts with a "C" and ends with a "T." Once you use it, there's no going back.

She'll immediately reply with the the "D" word, Divorce. After she's done ripping your heart out through your wallet, the torture will come to an end. Unless you have young children, in which case she'll use them against you in ways that would make an FSB officer blush.

Anybody who says you can't get blood out of a stone or a turnip obviously hasn't met a divorce attorney.

Here is an article with two very interesting maps where the cities are transposed onto other continents.
https://brilliantmaps.com/cities-transposed-latitude/

There is one for North America/Europe, and one for South America/Australia.

New York is roughly on the same latitude as Athens, Montreal is south of Paris, and so on.

Yeah, but I seem to be jumping into rabbit holes lately. Covid Cabin Fever?

It's the longitude, not an arbitrary time division that make is "east most".
All of Alaska is in the same time zone so by definition, all Alaskan islands are on the US side

Would agree IF it's reworded to say "...in the same time zone by definition, so all Alaskan islands are...".

That IDL zig zags between Alaska and Russia by political decision. Just like your example, Kiribati. Yikes.

Samoa is one case, but take a look at what it does around Kiribati
Now if you'll excuse me, there's another rabbit hole needs exploring.

I believe that in this case it is not drift, but rather plate tectonics! Or are plate tectonics just a much slower version of drifting?

Re: The New Joke Thread

Years ago, my Mother-in-law began reading, "The Exorcist". She said it was the most evil book she ever read. So evil in fact, she couldn't finish it, took it to the ocean and threw it off the pier.

I went out, bought another copy, ran it under the faucet, and left it on her nightstand!
