This stay-at-home order is pretty easy for me, I normally have a large stockpile of food and booze, much better than the WESTPACs on the sub, where we did up to 110 days (originally supposed to be 90 days) submerged.

Two things I distinctly remember after long periods submerged. One was a lowered immune system, since we were in a sterile environment for so long and the other was a lowered tolerance to alcohol, since we hadn't drank in so long.

I've always preferred my date to be a cheap drunk, just for the sake of economy and convenience.

I do not think I have corona virus yet. I did notice that my Dunlap's disease has gotten worse. For those not familiar with this disease it is when the belly" done lap over the belt."

Reminds me of an old story about joint exercises between Canadian and US navy ships. At the time the US ships were dry, the Canadians weren't; may still be the situation for all I know.

At the end of one long day, an American captain signaled his Canadian counterpart - "Request permission to come aboard to discuss results of firing exercise." The Canadian replied - "Come aboard under any pretext."

Re: The New Joke Thread

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the director, "We fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No" said the director, "A normal person would pull the plug ...

Do you want a room with or without a view?"

cheers,

Re: The New Joke Thread

I hated the quarantine at first. Then I realized I have everything I need at my house, and I slowly started loving the isolation.

Probably just stock home syndrome.
