Sunday Morning Coffee and Weather

My motorcycle forum (Honda ST1300 - which I read less than CF) almost always has a morning coffee & weather thread. I've always enjoyed that as a way to touch base with others out there......so I'll kick it off today and please add on.....

Morning all, I have a fresh pot of Tim's coffee brewed up and happy to share a cup with all of you. Saskatoon, Canada here, 26F and the sun is soon to rise, headed for sunny skies and 50F today!

Thinking about my CF friends today that might be enjoying a coffee or tea with blue water, white sand and palm trees nearby.

Have a great day all!

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

Stuck my head out the hatch to a beautiful morning. Temp 66, forecast 90.
What a shame, working on boat today, not sailing. (sigh)

Just getting ready to brew some coffee in our french press which we use on board. The weather is 41 and sunny here in Minnesota, we are preparing the boat for winter haul out today.

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

At 9:00AM local, it’s 40 deg. F, and sunny, here in Thunder Bay. Expect a high of 48, winds WNW at 22 mph, clouding over with rain showers.

Good Morning!

Seattle will be partly cloudy, winds light and variable with a high of 60F.

I've been up for 2 hours already, drinking some fresh ground Pete's, packing Tupperware for refit and listening to some unplugged music.

Good Morning All

John

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

Good morning from Massachusetts! I am on my second cup of java and the weather is sunny and cold by my standards, approximately 50 degrees. We will be leaving for the boat (shich is in Georgia)
in a couple of days for the winter with a projected return next may.

Pete

Middle of the afternoon here in Southern England. Sun is out, temp about 16c (60F) with a gentle breeze, but a cold nip in the air coming off the sea, just warm enough for t shirts. Spent the morning tidying the garden ready for the winter and will shortly be putting the roast chicken in the oven for tea.

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

no, I meant Peet's!

It's a west coast U.S. coffee. Not the greatest, but alright for a Sunday morning alone on the boat.

Tea? You mean ice tea with a lemon wedge in it, right?

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

I've been to Saskatoon a few times - back in the days when my expedition boat fit on top of my car and and had a total cost about what I now pay monthly for storage and insurance.

Wollaston, Reindeer, the Cochrane and Churchill Rivers - beautiful country up there - well in late summer. Not sure I'd want your winters. Ours here are bad enough.

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

Well, it is long past morning here in Cyprus and this thread just popped up as a recent discussion. Gorgeous here today. Winds 15 kts from the west, calm seas and temp inside the boat at 17:15 is only 78F.

I skip any more coffee for today. It is time for a nice glass of red wine.

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

Good morning all from San Francisco!

It was warm enough to sleep with the hatches open all night and mild enough to only need a sheet!

Himself is working his way thru a press pot of Kona Java and I am sipping my morning brew of hot cocoa.

The sky is an amazing display of orange and rose and pink and purple. We were just admiring its blazing beauty as the sun comes up over the bay!

Re: Sunday Morning Coffee & Weather

Good Morning All, currently in the Gulf of Benin, working the Mobil field offshore from Nigeria. Had a little Guatemalan coffee, with "tinned milk" and sugar. Broken overcast with sun, 85 F. Flat calm, big sea swell, must be something going on in the North Atlantic. Been offshore for almost a week, heading in tomorrow.
