Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Hello All,

Ok, I guess I'm suppose to introduce myself here so, here it goes...

I'm a 44 year old guy. Blue collar worker and for the most part I enjoy what I do.
Live in Oregon now but, I have lived all over the western states. Originally from Huntington Beach Ca. Love the water, beach.. the normal stuff..

Anyways, just looking for someone that might understand the boating/sailing thingy.. Yes just another dude on here..lol
Oh, and yes, I am single!..

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Hey ,
It's pretty clear why I am on this thread, so I won't beat about the metaphorical bush !
I'm Lucy, I'm 29, single, never married , no children , live on Anglesey, N Wales.
It's not easy to meet single male sailors when you live on a rural island. I gaze out of the window at work and see all the white sails gliding past and I know that's where I should be .

I'm a 29 year old chef and own my own business. I have been around boats my whole life, I feel at home on the ocean. My family built and chartered a 70ft ketch around the med, in the 90s. I would love to continue the tradition and eventually find myself doing what I love ... Cooking and sailing with a partner to share every adventure with.
Thanks for reading.
Lucy

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

i have a queue of 5 souls pending admission-- none has complied with the requirements for membership, so we pend more and longer.
i wish folks would read instructions and follow them. is only basic to sailing and boating. anyone not able to do that is not seaworthy, anyway. what say you all who managed to follow instructions to get here......

Again... sometimes we really don't have a choice...

But we usually do a pretty fine job once we're... "focused at the task at hand"

(Hand?)

(stick with hand Happy)...

One would hope you were focused and thorough with every job ...
Being a sailor kind of demands that ...
I was on a sailing course with a motorboatist ... His idea of navigation over the Cearnarfon bar was ... 'Go out of the marina and turn left ... It's high water so we will be fine .... And what's the worst that can happen?!' ..... Not a man I would get on a boat with ...

Definitely focused more on certain tasks than others!!!
1. Dangerous
2. Pleasurable
3. Reciprocal
4, Dangerously pleasurable reciprocal...

Things that go bump in the night are far less frightening than things that go bump on the bottom... er.... ah... I mean keel.. hull...

Ahhh you sound like my kind of man ....
Number 1 is my favourite .... And normally leads to 2!!
I have had an afternoon of adrenaline filled danger ... Car Racing (passenger) at our local circuit !!! It's on the headland ... Rain lashing down ... Drifting and a few near misses .... But the white horses on the seas looked even more fun
