Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Hi, all. I am new to this group as of October 2013. Single sailor (female) preparing to retire in a year or so and would love to find the perfect cruising mate! Have a lot of BVI and French West Indies experience and San Francisco Bay (Did you see the 34th America's Cup? Fantastic!). Have sailed 22-55 yachts as well as 14 ft. Lido. Love the water, sunrise, sunset, beach, Tiki Bars, fresh fish, cruising and sharing time with special friends. Snow skier and scuba diver as well but would live on the right boat. Where is my mate?

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Hello all, my name is Paul, yep another bloody male on here, I have never married. Been building a Wharram tiki 26 for the last few years, hopefully will launch it soon. I plan to do some voyaging off the beaten track. The boat is at best spartan/minimalist.
I have bought an auto pilot but may delay installing such a thing if I can find a mate willing to rough it a bit.I plan to learn to sail the boat off the Australian East coast first, before venturing further.

Thank you for this confirmation. I have not seen the value in this yet. Too much flotsam and jetsam to sift through to find, "a short bio and summary of what you might be seeking."

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

posting in this thread fo rnew soul sis to get to being a member. once a member one is able to access the bios and create one of their own. but first one must become a member.
becoming a member of the ssssm group requires doing only 2 things. one , and first, is filling out the profile inclusive of marital status, then posting in this thread. posting in this thread gets you to interact, hopefully, with those of us who do not use the bios section of the social group.
knowing that you are not married nor engaged is kinda specific to this particular group, and assists those of us who do not use the bio section of the group, which is only accessible to accepted members.
does anyone else have any questions they refuse to/ fail to pm me to ask....
and, if you merely seek crew for a leg of a passage or a specific passage, please use crew lists, not single sailors seeking soul mates group.
thankyou.

so far, this group is turning out to be a group of friends who are able to express themselves together. . some even fall in love and marry. (geaux, ocean girl and rain dog!!!!).some even sail together... go figger.
friendship is the first step towards soulmate ..
ye think!!??

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Profile is filled out, so please add me to the group. Short Bio:

Single 54 y.o. retired computer geek. I retired at age 45 and been spending my time sailing, diving, climbing, backpacking, and traveling ever since. I have a balboa 27 pocket cruiser that I sail every winter in the sea of cortez, but also open to crewing on other people's boats and buying a larger liveaboard if I find the right mate.
