Hi y'all.
I'm "STXBoi" on Cruisersforum, AKA Ross. "STX" is the local shorthand for St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. "Boi" is my willful misspelling of "boy". (OK, I know I haven't been a real boy since there was a Kennedy in the White House. Work with me on this, all right?) LOL

Here's my thumbnail bio.

I'm a single male living in the US Virgin Islands. My condo's on St. Croix (STX) and I'm keeping my boat in a slip on St. Thomas (STT). Why keep the boat on STT? That's another discussion for another time.

I took Early Retirement from Federal civil service and, until Congress decides otherwise, a modest stipend arrives electronically into my checking account each month because I had the good sense to wake up each day the preceding month. So I have a steady income; a chunk of change in the bank; my monthly bills are negligible; and a fully-found cruising boat. I'm ready to rent out the condo and take off.

Only one thing's missing -- a proper First Mate of the opposite sex. What am I looking for? A broad sense of humor is my only prerequisite. All else is negotiable.

Summer 2013 we'll island-hop the VI's to develop our "cruising routine". Cruising season starts and we'll head Down Island, perhaps as far as Trini or Guyana. Next cruising season we'll head Downwind to Puerto Rico, the DR (Skip poor Haiti.), Jamaica and the Cayman's. Third season it'll be the coasts of Mexico and Central America. After that we'll have to decide if we're ready to transit the Canal and start our circumnavigation or find something else to keep us busy.

we have had an influx of bots vs humans requesting membership--so i added the requirement of posting in this thread for consideration for membership.
and a bunch who refuse to state their marital status for whatever reason, which tells me they do not wish to truly participate here.
i am being strict for our own peace of mined as some will stoop to anything to be a member of a private group. we dont want spam nor folks not respectful of our mission statement, which is plain about this .....
