Is there a seasoned sailor willing to go sailing with me. I just can't do it alone...
Thank You Tess26, My picture is posted on facebook.

I used to keep my boat in Newburyport - at the Windward YY. I shouldn't think it too hard to find someone around there that would love to go sailing with you! Just ask around!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux
Whenever lining up crew, always apply the atttrition rule....
6 lined up for a sailand maybe one won't back out at the end...
Yep, hence the reason some of us are very prone to sailing solo.
I almost always get asked 'You on that boat by yourself'? "Yep",
'Isn't it to big for one person'? "Nope, just about right I figure".
They just look stupid at me. Then I offfer then to go sailing and they have an excuse or say call them, I do, they back out. Yep, sailing solo, as usual...

Carsten, I like my men with some substance to them. That usually takes a bit of aging and experience, kinda like a fine wine or a 12 yr old scotch. This bartender hasn't aged enough yet to be worth the trouble of finding out how nimble he is.

Please don't sterotype all farmers as such. Being a farmer myself who's passion has been on and under the water. Otherwise fit the description.

No fear on that. I've been working in agriculture since I was old enough to pick up a hoe. I love my farmers. I get to tell them to take care of their weeds and they call me funny names and we laugh at my latest adventures. I do know a few that love water, just not the sailing kind.

That's all I have been doing for over 20 years. I have a consultant/applicator license and work for the local weed board working with farmers on controlling highly invasive noxious weeds.

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux
I can't say that I am a farmer but I got interested in Hydroponics and Geodesic Dome Greenhouses a few years back. I can grow some damn fine tomatoes and cantaloupe in my basement all year long in the snow belt. I don't see me keeping up with it after I buy a boat and head out to sea but it has been interesting and learning experience.

I can see a basement taken over by killer cantaloupe.
