Of course, that's not THAT unusual - she skipped June-August as well.

maybe if I choose the right girl (or she chooses me) I will not need to select a boat, she will have already done it for me.

I was however asked to to look over things. And I confess I've not taken the responsibility very seriously. My apologies for alienating and abandoning all of you in the SSSM group. I promise going forward to be more diligent.
So in that effort, do any of you have suggestions for keeping an interesting and open dialog going? I'm thinking none of us should turn it into a blog about ourselves. Maybe keep banter of that sort between PM's.
Maybe share you latest dating success or failure? Experiences with online dating sites? Where do you go to meet people? How you dealt with your last breakup?
Conversations that provoke and reveal. That's what I think might help.
Hello peeps. As a newcomer to the forums and to this thread, I have a few suggestions. I am making this post only 3 pages in so I have a lot of reading to do to come up to speed with all of you. But heres my observations, suggestions.

As I browse the posts, it is not readily apparent to me the age and sex of the poster. If you are "sincerely single seeking succulent salacious solvent sailor suitors" (ssssssss) then perhaps you could help out us newbies by making the basics clear on your profile here? (of course, I could be totally missing something here and not know where to find everything yet) A good photo(s) of yourself and your age is a good start. Perhaps you could post in here other relavant information about yourself and your preferences for a future mate, or a link to that information on another dating site or to your blog would be beneficial.

I would also like to know your preferred age range as I would not want to bother others who may think I have aged beyond perfection. Also, the kind of life you live or dream of would be an asset.

Thanks, so far. These threads are addictive, between this site and yachtworld, I cannot find the time to go to bed! I will continue read and to enjoy your posts. To those who have already made me feel welcome, thanks again!

many of us are older, but some are younger. some of us have boats and livein/sail them--some of us are hunting for boats and partners....some of us still dream and some of us are living that dream, albeit solo......as for myself, i am in mazatlan for now with my own formosa ketch..... preparing for my next adventure on the ocean to gett o panama then canal and ......
there seems to be a shortage of men who can live with the idea and reality of sharing HER boat......

I think in relationships its better to have neutral ground. Therefore, one shouldnt necessarily move into his house or her house but rather THEIR house. Boating could be the same. Step 1.) Find love. Step 2.) Find the vessel that best represents your combined dream/lifestyle.

Then there is the issue of who's in charge. If a woman is capable enough to own, maintain, and captain her own ship, will she ever be capable of letting a man become the captain? If not, the "kind" of guy seeking first mate positions on ships might be slimmer still. Im sure there are tons more women willing to follow a man and his dream than the other way around, thus the catch 22?

Then there is the reason one is involved in the lifestyle in the first place and both must align. Is it because of lifestyle or circumstances? Im sure if the lady was quite independantly wealthy and her vessel and quality of life represented that ~ there would be many more applicants, just as the same correlation is true in reverse.

"To get the one you want to have, be the one you have to be."

that is a problem when the being the one ye want to be isnt who you REALLY want to be....... and ye go back to the original, which, in some cases was better than the imaginary you......

think about it...... just be natural and yourself.

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

It seems to me that Nia addressed the age thingy a while back. She claims to be 12 most times, 20 something other times and older than that on occasion. I'm 25 most times, but can revert to my teens if pushed, chronologically I'm older than dirt, but who counts any more? Zee is ageless, everyone knows that! Anyway 360 come on over to the FB page, there is more "action" there than here!

Regards,

Thomas

I no longer do facebook. For a compulsive like myself, it is a huge time waster. But thank~you for the invite. If any ladies are interested in knowing more about me, feel free to say hello.
