Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

The three SSS. Still on the hard in Puerto Penasco! Still planning on splashing in late Oct. and heading for La Paz. Still looking for a sweet young thing (age 60 to 77) to become life companion on the boat and at the ranch (60 miles south east of San Diego in Baja). Come now girls. There has to be one out there that not only likes the ocean but also the country life ! Maybe finding a way of putting the horses on the boat?
Zeehag. If we stop in Mazatlan, I will seek you out.

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Hi, I'm new to the group and wanted to say hello. I'm about ready to cruise in my 44’ Hylas sailboat, single and still looking for my co-captain. Currently berthed in Chula Vista Marina in San Diego Bay. Will be plying local California waters until 4Q19 then off to the Sea of Cortez and points beyond. See you out there... Regards, David

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Not sure how this works...here goes.
I'm single, 57, I'm a rowing coach Dec-April in Florida. Home is north Idaho.
I fell in love with sailing but being an inland girl I wasn't sure I would love it on the ocean. I took the opportunity to double hand a catamaran from New Caledonia to Brisbane and knew this is what I wanted to do the rest of my life!

This summer I helped crew a Cal 40 from Hawaii to San Francisco, and I just returned from helping a retired gentleman move his Beneteau from Toronto to New York.
Goal- Find the right guy, live on a sailboat and travel the world...

In the meantime I'm having the time of my life!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Divorced.
My sailmate would be someone who doesn't smoke, doesn't drink or drinks occasionally, no pets, and thinks living on a sailboat and traveling the world would be an amazing adventure!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Greetings!
I'm a new member finishing my current working life and preparing for the next one.

Was married for 33 yrs to a fine woman with whom I share kids and grandkids. I've lived aboard for 6 years focused on racing, work, friends, and boat projects. (Galveston Bay area)

I'm ready to find a cruising and life partner.

Experienced many Caribbean charters and Gulf trips which are fun but just the beginning. The agenda is fluid but the goal is to become familiar with other countries, cultures, and languages while sailing the world.

I've had great life adventures so far and I'm excited about the adventures to come... - Steve

Yes. I think you should definitely avoid people with too much teak, and whose hulls and cockpits are devoid of stress-cracks. They may dress up really
pretty, but will they take you anywhere fun?

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

I'm 59, male, divorced 20+ years and currently in the dying phase of a 4 yr. relationship.

I'm looking at retirement in as little as 16 months and looking to replace my old 24' sailboat with a 35' or so with the intention of going places. My current lady will not be joining me. She started out supporting the dream, but it is becoming abundantly clear that she is not going to be able to cut the lines and join me.

I am feeling out the singles scene a bit to see whats the scene looks like, fully realizing that I risk "going it alone" and I'm O.K. with that too. At least as a single hander I know who to rely on..... ;-)

I am finishing up some renovations on my house and hope to get it on the market in a few months and then its on to buying a retirement boat that will get me away from these silly winters!!

I will (because of geography) start on the east coast and head south, then perhaps cross over to the med. back to Caribbean and if I'm still having fun.... who knows, Panama and west?

I have not seen much of the world and I have a lot of catching up to do!
