The pine pollen in NC, that happens in the spring, is far worse. Especially if there is no rain. Cars are covered in a yellow/green pollen. Walking across parking lots leaves foot prints and you can see puffs of the pollen as one walks.
I have worked in the woods cutting property lines where the pollen was so heavy I would be coughing so bad I thought my lungs would pop out. Awful if there is no rain to wash the pollen away.
The lakes will have the green/yellow pollen staining the
water so that it looks like a chemical spill.
The sky will look foggy from the pollen, almost like a bad fire is burning.
Never seen anything like it in all of the different states I have lived. Thankfully, I don't have allergies, but the people who do, suffer greatly.
