Searching this forum

I was searching scheel keel and Google found a thread on this forum from 2006. I click on it and it opened up the cf app. But the thread I searched was nowhere to be found.
I deleted the app and tried again. This time it opened the right thread in chrome.
The search function in cruisers forum, like every other forum I've been on its absolutely useless. Searching through Google then clicking the link, I've found, is the only way to find things in here.
I'd someone knows how to use the search function more accurately please lmk.
I searched "henry scheel" in the forum search box and it couldn't find the thread that Google found.

Re: Searching this forum

On the desktop homepage click search near the upper right hand corner, then fill in the custom google search box.

^^^^This. The other search is case dependent and word dependent, so it only works for things you really know how to spell or enter (if one word should be capitalized and isn't, it will not find a match). On the other hand, the CF Custom Google Search will work for concepts. like dinghy chaps. Or posting pictures. Way easier to use....or rather, use and like the results.

Re: Searching this forum

Copy and paste the following in Google

“scheel keel“ site:https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/

I have found this better than the inbuilt search function in CruiserForum.

Re: Searching this forum

That's a great idea! I used to do that with Craigslist so I could get all of what I was looking for instead of having to rip the each city or region of Craigslist. Thank you!
