I don't envy you CS. You will have your hands full keeping up but it can be accomplished with much satisfaction.

Re: Saying goodbye to Cruising Forum
Dang it celestial, I've really appreciated your contributions and I haven't been here too long. I hope you'll still chime in now and then, if for no other reason than to straighten out some of the odd characters... your new ventures sure look fun too though, a ride in the t-bird in the morning down for a nice row and then home to ride the horse in the afternoon... sounds great! I'm moving to cape cod!

Re: Saying goodbye to Cruising Forum
Hi Celestial, As a relative newbie here I really haven't had a chance to get to know you.
Judging from all the previous posters comments you will be greatly missed. You mentioned fixing up a Cape Cod style house but didn't mention if the house was in Cape Cod. Playing detective here. The picture of the beautiful Thunder Bird shows Ca. plate on the front and picture of your horse shows pasture that looks like Southern Ca.
What all this blathering is leading up to is if you are anywhere near the Long Beach, San Pedro area you have an open invitation on my boat any time.
Some times change is good. Retirement is one of the big ones in life. I wish you best of luck in your endeavors and I'll keep my eyes open to see the T-Bird at the car shows.

Thanks LE. Your composure and confidence on CC always amazed me.

The bird has CDI. However, owning an 1100 pond critter could be considered pointless.

Thank you for the kind words. The house is in the Sacramento, Ca. area in an area called North Highlands. It's in the middle of a city hidden by trees. Sort of a place that time forgot about. We are the second owners of this 1945 house. All the original dual push button switches, bronze hanging lamps, root/fruit cellar, barn and such. It even comes with a 1902 Brunswick pool table.
Many people have incited that I am stuck in the past and i am. This house is a perfect fit. I also like animals in lieu of people and that is also true which was why I chose the sailing lifestyle. However with the advent of GPS and other electronics, that had changed for me. Rowing however in an era 1890 rowboat, keeps everything real simple for me.
