Should've drove over to the boat to check on it, instead having Bailey's in my coffee again. The weather has been decent for January but only 2"-4" of snow. That's 2"-4" to much for me but we really need some & rains this spring to keep the water levels up.

We're in a pretty rural area here. Nothing within walking distance. Husbands and wives are found at family reunions...

Re: Saturday Morning Coffee & Weather

While it's been a while since I last drank coffee, this thread reminds me of trips to Colombia and drinking Sello Rojo or Sello Dorado coffee. They were pretty good. Today was a nice day in mid TN at a nice warm 55F or so. Can't wait until spring comes. Mon/Tue here is supposed to drop down to the 20's again.

Re: Saturday Morning Coffee & Weather

I know it isn't Saturday but this morning at 09:00 it is -30 c with a windchill of -43 c. For those who don't know -40 c and 40 below f are the same...chilly.

Just thought I would give you guys in warmer climes a little chuckle.

Bye, I gotta go outttt....yikes.

Re: Saturday Morning Coffee & Weather

It is one whole degree of Fahrenheit here this morning as I sip yesterdays coffee looking outside at the new blanket of snow. We are supposed to hit a high of 2 today. Outlook is bleak, mood lousy and I am ready to die. Have a good day everyone!

Re: Saturday Morning Coffee & Weather

Had a Cuppa Joe at the hotel and now sitting at Hewanorra airport in St. Lucia to get back home. Just finished a 10 day charter with our group from Rodney Bay to Grenada and back via St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Was absolutely great!

Oh ya, 27C here and Sunny!

Have a good day all.

Woke up and had a big cup of Cappuccino with a dash of Cinnamon here on the Isle of Long. While some sailors may despair at the scene I am still remain an optimist:

Baileys in the coffee again & a little warmer than a normal February. Here's the weather at the boat which is 250 miles east.

Re: Saturday Morning Coffee & Weather

Standing here in the galley, hot cup of coffee in hand, and starring out the window at the frost covered trees across the harbor. All is quite except for an occasional mud duck calling across the water for its mate.
I feel a tug on on my pants leg, and looking down I see my 5 year old grandson looking up with sleep still in his eyes, and in his innocent little voice, he asks,
"Granpa, can we go fishing today?".
Now life just dosent get any better then this.

Re: Saturday Morning Coffee & Weather

I got some ground coffee at El Jardin Del Pulpo in La Cruz. They roast it there. I brewed up 2 shots of espresso for a cafe americano with that nice Mexican sugar that smells like molasses instead of bleach and a big dollop of 1/2 & 1/2, sitting outside in just shorts and enjoying the anchorage in the sun. The coffee is better than perfect, it's pleasure sublimated. Wondering if my most recent Zodiac glue job will hold this time. I guess I'll pump it up and see and then head off for the cruiser's swap meet to look at stuff I won't buy, then see if I can get the local welder dude to fix our boarding ladder.
