Re: Sailors Anonymous

I'm sure there's some sort of 12 step program for people like us. I'm guessing 10 or so of those steps involve rum.

actually, these embarrassing moments are interesting to watch. unfortunately, usually, they are at the dock after a few drinks and it should be most embarrassing to both of em.
next time, vet your potential mate a little better-- let the thinking head do the work this time.
there are many females out here who actually ENJOY this lifestyle.
ye might seek one of them, instead of the babe in the hot (dress) at your favorite bar-coffee, juice or otherwise.
.
Yep, a lot of men are like that even the old ones.

You'd think after getting "laid" countless times between the ages of 15-60 plus you could take a break and go sail.

Make up later or find at woman at you next port or use the manual self help method, but don't forget your favorite magazines!

The PO of my boat left some awesome 80's vintage Penthouse Forums aboard. I've gotten some good "use" out of them.

Re: Sailors Anonymous

thomm..mebbe you are not sailing the best waters for finding decent sailing ladies. there are many here on west coast.
as for the rest of ye---
the guys who sail only want booty call--fts, sorry folks. not into games and bs. deal with your own issues . they aint mine. i generally have no problem when i want to have male company. you guys must be doing it wrong.
y´all dont use eyes much, i guess--only instruments. mebbe you forgot what a human female looks like.. ha ha ha ha ha
and, there is something about your attitude. is like ye use repellant. not particularly attractive--i have watched.. ha ha ha is soo funny how ye think yer hot because you own a bludi boat. grow up. grow a personality. be a human.

I agree. But then I would also argue that if you care about them, you try very hard never to put them in a situation where they feel like they have to give you ultimatums.

It cuts both ways. That's the essence of a partnership. Of course, one must also acknowledge that there are a lot of marriages out there that are NOT partnerships.

But the sexes are more alike than different.
Ummm.

I have a different perspective due to my life experience. But what do I know..

Re: Sailors Anonymous

Was it just the boat or more complicated as in, "Live with me on dry land or else..." Can't imagine anyone demanding another person sell their boat or end the relationship if it's just a hobby.

It really would be cheaper and easier to be an heroin addict in Amsterdam.

Re: Sailors Anonymous

Ultimatums like that are deal-breakers. An ultimatum is a control mechanism. Once an ultimatum is offered, any chance of a partnership is gone.
