Re: Royal Wedding a British Tsunami

I am a bit surprised to hear all of that from you boatman...after all the English to tea. And maybe you need to remember the term Gerrymandering, when it comes to elections, something the brits have been very good at. So you think the Irish should just *love* the british *in a sexual way* ...well, maybe if they where all as good looking as Kate, you might have something. The real Irish have already done the job...the Real IRA is a bad joke. As for chips...maybe yours is sitting square on your shoulder..I like you and enjoy your posts, but why are you wrapped in the red white and blue, but holed up in Portugal?

I suggest pea shooters and spitballs at 30 feet. Last one standing rules what's left of the world!

Re: Royal Wedding a British Tsunami

Might I suggest some deep breathes? A return to sailing topics might be refreshing too.

Fortunately for us Brits thats less than 20% of the population... and 15% of those are not natives....

I'm republican and I think she looked quite grand. Everyone likes a wedding. Its great fun and they looked like a happy couple. It made so many people feel good. They sold a lot of beer and a wonderful time was had by millions. I heard that 1/3 of the population of Earth tuned in. Per capita, that is cheap entertainment. Did anybody die? Costs a heck of a lot less than 5 minutes of our national debt.

Oh come on..nothing like a good foreign invasion story to get the blood flowing. OK boating content...sailed from Cobb to Halifax as a five year old in November, and it was cool, to find a new life not overwhelmed by British influence...first day in school in Toronto..had to sing God Save The Queen..without a barf bag..moved to the US later.

Wrapped up in the Red White and Blue is how I was raised in Pakistan....
had a fight every day... try being the only white kid in a school of 2500...
No Quarter... only way to survive so don't bleed on my shoulder mate...
As for the Irish Question...
yes I sympathise with the Catholics of NI... they've had a raw deal but blowing folks up is not the way to resolve matters... and lets be honest... its 70% Proddy... so no way are you gonna win a vote... be real.
You guys just wind each other up with the drum parades etc... quit that **** and maybe... just maybe things will slowly improve...
As to why am I in Portugal.... simple... gotta lotta broken bones over the years and the climates a lot kinder down here... no politics... just comfort...
I'm Conservative by nature... been a union shop steward... fought the unions when Maggie brought out the free labour policy and the unions got me sacked coz I demanded my legal rights....
**** man.... I'm an anarchist who loves tradition....
I'm a Conundrum....
And just to keep Hummingway happy...
Wharram Tiki's are the best Cat's one can buy...
Cutters Rock...
and anyone who needs a boat bigger than 21ft for a family of 15 to live on is a PUSSY... thats the Pakistani in me....
