Re: Old Threads With No Replies.

It is also up to the OP to put some effort into his thread - no reply?, add another post.....or 3! If still no response you must have a really bad (dull?!) thread title or be asking a bad question (too specific as bad as too vague). and once a few folks bite you need to engage with the audience to both encourage others (folls look at responses / views and figure something of interest - until around page 4!. then folks start to lose interest or the will to live!) and also to guide the discussion, without getting pissy!

Something catchy in the first few lines (for the hover over) quick looksee also helps.

Here is an old one that was fun. Seeing pictures of the regulars here when they were much younger, like the ones Rebel Heart shared. Jedi and Astrid had some good ones too. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...res-75584.html

Re: Old Threads With No Replies.

Coop, that skipper has been doing the very same thing on other forums. One just the other day, and a respondent suggested that it was too long, poorly written, and more like a blog than something that deserved to be on a forum. Unfortunately, his well-written comments were deleted by the moderators! Yikes.

Re: Old Threads With No Replies.

I remember that one but I did not have a comment.

There is a lot of good info there but "we" just don't have the attention span here do we?

Re: Old Threads With No Replies.

Stu, I was the one who responded to Skip's post elsewhere this last week. Thanks for the compliment. I tried to be diplomatic and helpful: wonder why I was deleted? Maybe our age of believing no one should ever suffer having his feeling hurt? Comment, Therapy?
