I heard he was anchored within 100 yards of a Florida mooring area
for more than 72 hours.

I wonder if that boat could have been salvaged at a high tide by removing the sand and putting a temporary patch over whatever hole it may have had?

It reminded me of lions gorging on a fresh kill.

If it wasn't so sad it would have been comical.

"Headline - Strange yellow land gators eat cruising yachts.

Be careful when mooring of the coast of Spielbergs Island. Jurrasic mutant gators have been photographed eating innocent yachts. This yacht left for only a few hours while the crew was ashore for a brief scenic trip was savagely attacked and eaten in a matter of minutes...""

Hi All
Re the photos.
I have seen it happen before.
A damaged 40 foot cat on the hard standing in front of my hotel in Mallorca. It was done over night. Apparently it was declaired as an insurance write off and to make sure nobody benifited, they totaled it.
Such a shame cause there were lots of hatches etc that I could of used.
Apparently quite common.

Red Neck Yacht Club. Love that song, got to get it. I see these guys on the trip north and south each year. I didn't know they had a national anthem.

I spotted this in an advert on ApolloDuck.

I quote "lying Southampton Water", well they weren't exagerating!

Wasn't there the urban legend of the retiree on the freeway walking away from the wheel because the "cruise control" was on?
