Yet another boat trying to masquerade as a house.

Electronic Throttle Control, pedals, hand throttle, engine controls

That would simplify things.

Must be a covered barge with a man doors at dock level. Haven't figured out what the up-rights are yet.

New Delaware State Police boats.

3 each 300HP Mercs.

$800,000 each.

Delaware State Police Start Maritime Unit with 2 Vessels - News - POLICE Magazine

They have a bunch of dive tank racks, but I can't see a way to enter the water.

I don't know, kinda looks like a Studebaker to me.

Where the 2 guys are standing near the stern there is a dip in the top of the gunnel and a vertical line on either side of the dip. My guess is there is a swing door there, and a ladder that drops into the water. I would expect the other side of the boat to have the same.

Re: Nautical Oddities

With the additional weight there is a huge diminishing return between having two engines and adding a third engine. Basically it is a huge waste of money with only a few knots gain in speed. This is in addition to larger fuel bills. I don't think too highly of Mercs. The Coast Guard uses Honda's because of their reliability. There are many law enforcement agencies that got boats like this so they could go out and do what the Coast Guard is better trained for, already equipped to do and already paid to do. Their limited city and county budgets can no longer support those boats so many of them sit on trailers in the parking lots of corporate yards collecting dust.

In the SF Bay Area I actually saw a California Highway Patrol boat a number of years ago. I suppose they could chase down those amphibious cars that float?

It's HMS bric-a-brac! Boat built using hundreds of wooden objects including rolling pins, hockey sticks and a guitar is unveiled

I think they contain poles to keep the boat in position in shallow water.
