The stuff in this thread is Waaaay over my head! Guess I've been spending too much time cruising rather than on CF.

And there, in a nutshell, is one of several differences between communicating online and face to face. Face to face I have never seen one adult correct another adult's spoken grammar. But online we see it all the time.
I say, treat people -- and communicaton -- on line, the same way you would in person.

Re: Liar, liar, pants on fire!
I can't make this up, there was a story in the local "Punch" paper saying the police were in pursuit of a thief until he went around the corner and turned into a goat. So they arrested the goat and are holding him in jail until he turns back into a human.

I wouldn't make too much fun at the goat, or the sheep, as I notice they have people carrying them. Not the other way.

Well put, and too true.
Guilty as charged. Though in my defence i only ever do grammar correction posts in threads that are otherwise tongue in cheek.
The internet would be a VERY different place if people behaved as if they were face-to-face.
