He was employed since age 16 in the one of the world's loneliest jobs: lamp lighter on a rompong — a wooden fishing raft with a hut on top — moored about 125 kilometers (78 miles) off the coast of North Sulawesi
Glad this turned out with a happy ending. I never knew there was a job out there, the description of which would include live on a raft at sea 78 miles from land. I would have at least tried that when I was young.

Indonesian teenager rescued after drifting 7 weeks at sea
Question I have is what did he do for water?
An article I read said he filtered seawater through his clothes, if so he was near death, cause he wasn’t doing that for long.
