If a turtle goes out to sea -

- is it then a "sea turtle"?

Benjamin turtle is salty, but officially a land species.

How far out does it go? It could also be a bluewater turtle, or brownwater turtle , greenwater turtle , greywater turtle or the dreaded yellowwater turtle.....

He ventured out about 15 miles and then decided to be that dreaded yellow-water turtle...on the cockpit deck. I would say he be a day-sailing, coastal cruising turtle.

He is a 10 year old Gulf Coast Box turtle. Been hanging out with me for a decade now. All pet, all the time.
