Humanitarian crisis 'brewing' in Germany

One can only hope that our German members can persevere. Perhaps a convoy of cruising boats loaded with empties could help relieve the burden?

That sounds serious, world cruisers all unite! Let's help our German friends. Where do I pick up a shipload of full bottles that I can bring a shipload of empties in Hamburg/Bremenhaven/Kiel, etc?

Do they give you money back on the empties in Germany?

I loved Germany.
Remember as a kid the milkman? You know came around a couple times a week and delivered milk and butter, picked up the empty bottles?
Well that is how it’s done in Germany, you sign up for weekly beer deliveries, leave the “rack” of empties by your front door, when you come home there is s full rack of beer waiting.

You haven't been to germany for some time, right? The last milkman was shot 30 years ago for fiddling at the wrong lady.
Any beer racks left in front of the door are stolen within 15 minutes.

I'm afraid the word has change a bit. We replaced the beer & milkman with internet shops and DHL
