High tides Oct 3 Md

It strikes me as the tides are exceptionally high the last couple of days.

Oxford, St Michales, Chestertown.

Any thoughs

Yeah, no big wind.

So apparently this am high tide in Tolchester was 2-1/2' above normal.

Here it was sufficiently high to reach over a power pod and blow breakers.

Barometric pressure? A low pressure system will increase the height of tides.

We had really high tides Friday and Saturday here in New London....

Its not the first time or is it unusual.

Interesting article. It does sound like we had a very large area involved.

I didn't make the boat show">Annapolis boat show this year, but it's not unusual for them to flood. A 2-1/2' Above normal would have been very apparent and made a mess of things.
