Congrats Mark. You aren't going to ask for your FX37 back are you? It is working fine on our Manta.

Another Step Closer...

Got the survey report today - no surprises. Well, except that our purchase price is at least $20K less than all comp sales in the past 18 months.

Add in the $10K we could spend (if we hired it all done) working the punch list and we're still buying her 'right.'

So I'm off to sign the acceptance letter.... can't wait to start the adventure again.

Gord! You are amazing - and you may have just saved me $1500!!

The ad link you posted was from the previous sale in 2004 when the owners I am now dealing with bought the boat. Due to some unfortunate medical circumstances, the current captain has not been able to answer some key questions, such as "have the sail drive rubber seals been replaced?"

Because of that lack of information I planned to have them redone as the boat is now 9-years old and the replacement interval for the sail drive boots is 7 years maximum. This now gives me clues and I may defer this maintenance.

Plus I got to right-click-steal the line drawings & specs from the ad.

Here's to ya Gord - thank you!

I bet you have lots of new friends now.
I have narrowed boats down to have Manta as #1 on my list but since they are not numerous and in charter it is hard to get aboard one.
If you run out of friends some weekend the wife and I would easily be friendly.
