Kid kinda sounds like me at 16 (apart from the music)..........My father never bought me a car. His attitude was that when you earn your own
money you can spend it yourself, with his thinking being that I would "appreciate" things more.......
So I had to wait until I got my first job after
school at 18, and then I spent MY
money on motorbikes. and
beer. lots of
beer. and a few drugs. and spent the rest on loose woman, who tended to be not quite as "loose" as I would have preffered
.
Unsurprisingly I had more than a few accidents and a few "interesting escapades". Looking back I should be dead. or have had more "legal problems". or be in jail. still
But the good news is that I still managed to keep a "good" job.
Basically what I am saying is that I don't think
buying a car is going to cause the sky to fall in...........or that not
buying one is going to prevent it...........and just for info, I don't have any
kids (I know about) - quite deliberate, the last thing I wanted was some expensive little f#cker who turned out like me
