Fireworks and gunfire have started in nearly every yard here on the Big Island and there is still 2 hrs 20 minutes to go until 2010 arrives.

I wish all my boating friends wherever in the world you are the very best that a year can bring in this upcoming year.

The midnight fireworks displays here in St. Kitts & Nevis were hastily set off at 12:07, during a short break between rain squalls.

I can't believe I stayed up that late!
