Getting Stoned In Belize

e So were here in Belize for two weeks of R&R and we stop by a local establishment to get a roast chicken for dinner. While chatting with the owner he mentioned the awesome lamb kabobs he was serving tomorrow night and by the way he had some really good "smoke" we were welcome to try I said I didn't smoke and he reiterated his meaning by saying good stuff while flashing the universal toking sign I said I really didn't want to do anything to extend my stay unwillingly and thanked him. Probably would have been fun

I can recommend the book, although it's more about kava than weed.

Amazon.com: Getting Stoned with Savages: A Trip Through the Islands of Fiji and Vanuatu (9780767921992): J. Maarten Troost: Books

Re: Getting stoned with savages

Well it's clear then. Stay off the weed and drink kava instead. It's legal too.

I do have to agree that the stuff is an acquired taste. I like it but most don't.

Fun read. Troost did a sequel which is also a fun read- The Sex Lives of Cannibals and another on China, which I'd guess is more of the same.

Re: Getting stoned with savages

Not alot of herb chat here on CF, Maybe we need a grower tips thread. People usually fall into two camps on this issue.

A) I like it. I don't use but don't care.
I'm not offended. I don't beleive the lies
Alcohol is worse why is it illegal.
Adult's are smart and can make
decisions themselves.
OR

B) You people are breaking the law.
Crack, Meth, and pot are all the same.
Even suggesting its ok makes you evil.
The Gov'ment knows best and how
dare you think freely.
Medical marijauna and climate change
are a hoax.

I really love a good lamb burger.
Little curry, cumin, and black pepper
a layer of roasted zuchini and squash
fresh mint tzatiki sauce....mmm

Re: Getting stoned with savages

I would not risk getting stoned with anyone overseas. (I don't get stoned anyway) No matter how nice they seem it might be a setup which rewards the local and gets you thrown in prison.

Not to mention seizing the boat and contents.
Promoting the idea that cruising sailors like to get stoned on a public site like this... is not only irresponsible but pretty dammed stupid!...

Re: Getting stoned with savages

I would agree, doing anything illegal overseas where you dont really know whats up is not a good idea. I honestly am slightly scared to go anywhere laws are shadely inforced by a crooked government.
