I used a trial bike to ride along the footpath from the canal lock.

Avoisine, these boats are in the UK, someone was mentioning abandoned boats in Chesapeake Bay, but I dont know how far from you that actually is.
As you are in the US, could this site be of any use to you?

I am also disabled. Ya play the cards you are dealt, or you fold. Not ready to fold yet.
I posted about a 27 foot boat for sail on Lake Michigan that is supposed to be able to be sailed or motored away, for less than 900$.
Look in the Classified section.
There is a 32 foot Sabre on LOZ priced at 1900$

I'm looking for a 28 to 35 ft sailboat that's why I asked. I'm down here in Florida and that 32 ft Sabre was interesting to me.

The boat is in the water and supposed to be able to be sailed away. Problem is that there is no trailer.
Full price to get a trailer made for it is about 5 grand using the published cradle/trailer guidelines for the boat, which show 4 pads. A new 8 pad custom built three axle adjustable is about 6500$ 150 miles from the lake.
I saw a 6 pad set up yesterday listed for 2200 used, if i remember correctly. I looked at a whole lot of ads, so I could be off on that.
No idea what getting it moved to the Mississippi so it could be sailed around to you would cost, or what a straight haul to you would either.

I don't know if I would want to take it down the mississippi with the spill and all now that I think about it. Does crude act like ablative paint on a hull?
