Re: Does anyone have plants of any kind on board?

I have basil & parsley growing in little pots with saucers under. I missed my fresh herbs from home so this makes up for it. When we do a passage I put the basil away safely & the parsley just stays under the dodger. I water them with left over fresh water from rinsing my bean sprouts or leave them out in the rain for a drink.

Had a planter in the galley years ago with an ivy plant/climber in it, had to go away for 6 weeks so put a drip bottle in it (coke bottle upside down) came back and it was 6 or so feet long it was everywhere.
So that's the go for watering a plastic soft drink bottle with a bleed hole (small in the top). Works well....
