my bubba's first bucket--he said to tell you he couldnt put together so many words--he only is fluent in feline maine coon chirrup speak.... so he took a picture of his first and favorite bucket....he did say meouw meorouw mrorow to you, whatever that means....

Seriously, though. My father passed away a year ago.
He left me this bucket. The inscription says:

Presented to 1st LT. Lawrence A. Robinson
By the Officers
2723 Air Depot Group
Kisarazu Air Base Japan
Jan. 1956

I was one year old and in California with my
mother and sister while he was stationed
in Japan. He was a very popular guy. People
liked him more than he knew.

I don't know how the dipper thing got beat
up, but I do remember playing with it from
my earliest memories.

I miss him, but at least I have this bucket...

This is it!!!! I referred to these beautiful buckets near the beginning of this thread. It was in a far different context for sure........

But here it is. Aromatic cedar, nice oil finish, and beautiful in its form and function.

in our travels to the barrier islands, we oft find desolate buckets, abandoned by the shrimp fishing fleet. Rescued, sometimes patched up, they gratefully perform duty aboard.

Have to be careful with buckets like that, sometimes they can crabs an such hiding in them....

There are some precautionary measures that should be taken with certain types of buckets. Guess it really depends on the bucket and where you picked it up at....id avoid buckets on the side of the road and those found at Walmart....
