I don't know-it was a very pretty bucket -though looked like it lacked a handle so can it still be called a bucket?

Maybe best described as "bucketlike"

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

Cruel and irregular treatment of them like that could result in them getting really angry and flying off the handle.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

In case anyone was wondering, there was nothing wrong with Sailor g's post. She posted a double post and I decided to delete one for her. In the meantime, she obviously realised and deleted one as well. Could we both pick the same one, no bloody way. Sorry mate-ess.

I was kinda liking the idea of being an outlaw for a moment I was just getting back from reading another thread before reposting. We were on the same wavelength in deleting it. No problems. .

I have a fantastic old bucket. It's been around for a good while. It to has no handle.......

The other day I was rolling it around. Out of sheer compulsion I decided to roll that bucket over and give it a good thump on the bottom. Lo and behold it made a fantastic sound. Been making music with that bucket ever since...........

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

Playing S/M with your buckets bottom? I'll bet you have have rope tied to your buckets with a handle.

This is a family site. Tsk, tsp, tsp

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Re: Do You Remember Your First Bucket?

After reading this entire thread I have come to the conclusion that sailors are full of BUCKET ENVY, way to much time on their hands. I do admit though that many may have missed their call as writers of romance novels. Keep it up (handles of course) and try not to fall for the first bucket you see. Try to avoid those cheap thin plastic ones that will fall apart on the first usage. Shop around and compare and if necessary borrow your boat neighbors bucket to see if their bucket fits into your life style.
