Re: Celebrity Sailors--Who would you have liked to Sail with
Ha ha ha!
Well, my theory is that’s how I typically live my life at sea. Relaxed, like a hermit.
If I get a few hours or a day on some other boat with some other sailor, I want to do something different and make it count. LOL
I can Walden it on my own time. This is a special occasion. Although secretly I’d love to put foils on my own cat. Even just as foil assists to reduce wetted surface area and gain a few knots Ha ha ha.

Moving deliberately through the world. Like that guy at Walden Pond. Who was he? Oh yeah, like THOREAU...
Like that!

Now there's an idea. Not for me, but for a guy...
And what sorts of conversations might take place, do y'think, between a goddess and a pirate...?

I suspect that the only person that really had a lot of fun on Cleopatra’s pleasure barge was Cleopatra. I suspect that everybody else was a little worried about not performing well and loosing their heads, enough worried to take most of the fun out of it.

Bill Buckley, JFK, and Walter Cronkite would be an interesting trio to listen to.

The Invisible man. He's always been great company on long journeys before.

Re: Celebrity Sailors--Who would you have liked to Sail with
I wouldn't want to sail with any of these people mentioned but I would love to have a yarn with them. As for the sailing I would love to sail on the new Hugo boss or one of those French trimarans.
Cool story Little Wing
Cheers

Nah... you're just a realist. Probably the only person having fun on Cleopatra's barge WAS Cleopatra!
Hey, was Walt Disney also a big sailor? Or is it just his son, Roy...?
