Sure, it's all in the marketing. I can buy a metric ton of cashews off Alibaba for usd$342.

Just be real careful on entry to the US, as you don't want to end up with your boat empounded while you sort out the customs and FDA issues.

After Smoothtroll has been arrested and fined he can start up a Go Fund Me page and will probably make enough to finance a new yacht and pay his fines!
Cheers

Probably won't even get wholesale price if he's some schmoe with no contacts in the nut import industry and they've gotten moldy on the crossing over.

If you want to try smuggling (and I don't recommend it), go for something you legitimately could get away with...maybe gem stones. Of course, make sure you know what you are buying and have a contact to sell to. It would be pretty embarrassing to pay $20,000 for $200 worth of cubic zirconium that no one will buy.

You especially want to stay away from blood cubic zirconiums, they can be worse than blood diamonds.

Re: Can I import cargo from Africa to USA

In addition to the FDA and other Federal agencies listed, you will also need to meet the regulations as set forth by USDA APHIS, and get a permit (if allowed to be imported), and be pest and disease free (no insects, bacteria or fungi)

Best bet is the check with the APHIS folks listed in the manual https://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_ex...cellaneous.pdf

Re: Can I import cargo from Africa to USA

Alot of people have made good money bringing cargo back to the usa from Columbia. Whatever you do just remember, don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Thx-Ace
