Calling all Single Sailors
Hey guys and gals. I was just surfing the net and came across a new website for the single sailor. IT is very new because there are not many members yet, but it looks like a great place for all us single members looking to find that special someone to share our sailing dreams with.
it is located here: http://thesinglesailor.com

Could be coz folks keep leaving....
Its just another dating site where within the first 5mins of a chat your asked if your rich... when you say no they don't believe you coz you've got a boat....
So now your rich.... but your also a liar.... a no win situation....

folks dont realize it doesnt take money to own a boat. just to keep it in a fancy place costs money and if ye buy a ridiculously expensive one. i kinda cringe from highly priced things. i am happy with what i have.
i got reallly lucky. now for the partner part--mebbe i did it backwards?? (i usually do)

Ummm...
Just surfing the net? You own the domain dude. It's your website. If you're going to start one, then have at it. But to say you were just surfing and came across it is kind of..... Hmmmm..... How do I put this.... Well I'll just leave it to your imagination.
From one Canadian to another, I have to LOL. At least keep your registration info private so you don't look....well...

Nope. I was referring to the website listed a few posts up. I'm not writing out the link. It's too dumb.

The only woman, and a pretty attractive one, is from Simcoe, Ontario - the same city as Captain Kirk. So I gather all of these are fake profiles with pictures from the internet, or stock photos included with the dating site web template that was used to create it. So bad....

Ok, scam detected. Well done that man.
Most dating sites are scams. They are only as good as the members, and anyone can be .......anyone on the net. Just like 95% of CVs are a document of lies, personal profiles are the same. The only way to verify is to meet and know someone, just like you know your friends.
All in all, net dating is a numbers game, with odds as wild as the lottery and I sure dont waste my money on that.

Naw Zee... you've dun it rite lass.....
Its easier to fit a partner into a boat than a boat into a partner....
The hard bits the same as with a boat tho'... finding THE one..
Odds are against ya but at least your OUT THERE..............

Hey Guys,
When I originally posted, it was in the works to buy the site. I did just stumble on it and thought it was a great idea. I think it has the potential to do well and fill a void in the sailing community. As some have said, it is hard to find a match when people find out you have a boat and think you are rich, when in reality that is not so.
I was hopping fro some support from the sailing community, but I see now that some people on here are the reason that it is hard as a single sailor. Look at the comments on here from my own people.
I am not trying to "Pull the wool over anyone's eyes" What would be the point to that. Man the negativity on here is really getting out of hand. 5 users to 39000 users...... with attitudes like this, I hope the negative people are on the lower side of the 39000 .
Thanks for the support guys.

My Oldest Nephew told me this story......
He is a good looking guy, has a BMW, Mustang, Nice Truck and Go-Fast boat....owns his own home......He also has an old Buick that he uses to commute.
He is a vice president of a company (There are two other VP).
He works for a "think tank".
When he meets women they want to know what he does ($$$$)
He tells them he's a security guard.
What do you drive ($$$$) a Buick
Where do you live ($$$$) Mom and Dad
He is now engaged to a beautiful woman who never asked those questions
