boat names

The strangest name I've seen is the sailboat "Zubenelgenubi" in Mobile AL the New Orleans Bridge and Lock tenders would have a hell of a time with that one! it would probably add a couple of hours to the transit just trying to get it across to them! By the way, Zubenelgenubi is the Arabic name of a star in Libra.
My present boat is "Spirit" by the P.O. there are lots of boats around with that name.
In my next boat I plan to cruise the Caribbean so I think I'll pick something easy to get across in English and Spanish maybe IDEA or IMAGINE mean the same and spelled the same in both languages and similar in French. I also thought of NOVA but that can mean "doesn't go" in Spanish, might bring me bad luck!

When we find our boat (am looking now...) I am considering these:

Surprise. After Jack Aubreys frigate. But.. there are a number of other boats out there with that name.

Ringle. Jack Aubreys swift sailing schooner tender. We are unlikely to end up with a Schooner but a ketch is close enough I reckon.

It would be fun to name the boat the Surprise and the dinghy the Ringle. Yes... I am a huge Aubrey/Maturin fan!

Maramu. Strong wind from the south in Tahitian. We are from Georgia in the deep south so its sort of catchy.

There is an old wooden CC Connie on the lake here. I can't remember it's name for the life of me. But the dingy is named "Splinter"
